Multi-Tasking – Helpful or Harmful?
Well March came in like a lion and went out like a lion, very typical of the winter that will not end!! I just returned home from a beautiful Caribbean cruise, and I have decided I am moving to Grand Cayman Island permanently, as soon as possible… (APRIL FOOLS DAY!!) No, I am not abandoning my post here in London just yet, but a girl can dream!
Earlier in March I was pleased to be a vendor at the Women’s Lifestyle Show, and it was once again a great success! Many people stopped by my booth and some even tried out the relaxation mini-session. Although the show was a little noisy, most had a positive and relaxing experience, but of course it is much more effective in the quiet session room in my office!
I had the honour of being interviewed by Brian Nuttall of AM980 for 30 minutes, at the show. Here is a recording of that interview, which I am certain you will find informative. He was a very well-prepared host and he was quite interested in the services we provide at Advantage Neuro Balance!
Also in March I hosted a live seminar, “Work Smart, Get Sleep”, at which time I presented tips and strategies to be more productive, and reduce stress and anxiety in the workplace, also explaining Brainwave Optimization® in detail. Watch for a recording of the seminar in your email very soon, in case you missed it!
Multi-Tasking – Helpful or Harmful?
In recent years, having the ability to multi-task has been touted as an accomplishment, being the envy of those whose are not so good at it. Here is a fact – recent studies prove that multi-tasking can actually be harmful to your brain! Our brains are designed to do one thing efficiently at a time, and loading it with too much at once can cause permanent damage. Click here for a very interesting article which explains it!
So, get yourself a good day-timer, and plan your time to focus on one thing at a time, and you will have more brain power to complete it effectively. (Whew, I was never that good at this multi-task thing!)
For those who celebrate, Happy Easter! It’s time to embrace renewal, and melting of snow!!!
