I recently learned an interesting fact about the brain. Our internal processes and positive and negative thoughts affect one part of the brain, which processes either internal feeling of connection and happy contentment, or disconnection and sadness respectively. When we SAY the thought, we engage another part of the brain that in turn sends signals to the entire brain. Therefore when having a goal, aspiration or inspiration, consider stating it. How wonderful it feels to know your whole brain is working to manifest your desires!!! When we feel love, for example, we should verbally express it. When we do, it “takes over” our very being… perhaps explaining why we feel almost euphoric when newly in love or expressing love of our newborn child. Hey folks, it does not work when we text, tweet, or type it!!!
It does of course also work with negative thoughts and words. Remember your grandmother’s words, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”? She was right for many reasons. Having negative thoughts is harmful enough to our well-being, but to state it triggers a path of negativity throughout the entire brain. Words hurt, and words heal, externally AND internally. Which will you choose?
